Personalised Hen & Stag Do Garments

Wedding season is well and truly upon us now, almost every weekend booked up with friends and family’s weddings or hen and stag do’s. So if you are the lucky one who is in charge of organising the hen or stag do then look no further. HoodieTee can help make the bride and groom’s last night as a single lass or lad one to remember. Whether its hoodies, t-shirts, vests or caps that tickle your fancy, we have an array of fabulous garments that we can personalise which should fit the bill and suit your budget!

When doing a bit of research,I asked myself the other day, why is a hen do called a hen do and ditto for Stag do? In America they call it a bachelor/ bachelorette party so why in the UK do we use these animal terms…..? Having scoured the internet, the most likely outcome is the term hen originates from North African, Middle Eastern and Asian lifestyle traditions. Apparently the authentic phrase hen comes from henna which is a wedding custom that all these cultures share. Henna is the custom tradition of the bride and all her female friends and family gathering together to paint their hands which apparently has tendencies to purify the bride and hold her risk free from evil.  In the UK we don’t really follow this tradition we are more paintballing and butlers in the buff…….oh dear!

Anyway back to the garments. We think wearing a collective t-shirt or hoodie is A, a great way of being able to spot everyone and keeping everyone together in one place. And B it is fun to have a bit of memorabilia from what will no doubt be a memorable night or weekend. We have some great template designs which you can tweak and personalise accordingly or if you want to come up with your own design then our graphics team will get their artistic flair on!
